One artist will be selected by a panel including Mel, Leo, Isabel Adomakoh Young and Jideofor Muotune. Selection will be based around the criteria below.
Criteria
All applications will be assessed based on the following criteria.
Whether your proposed activity:
📌 Meaningfully engages with technology and liveness
📌 Will help you achieve your goals
📌 Is important for you to do now
📌 Whether what you have proposed is achievable within the time/budget restrictions
And whether your project is one best supported by an XR* company. We’ll prioritise applications where you can get maximum value from the residency time, support and resources from us as an XR theatre company.
This opportunity is only open to artists of colour / artists of the global majority.
We want to give you time to dig into an idea, to take risks and try something out. It might not work, that’s fine!
🥽📱🌍*XR means extended realities - things that combine real and virtual environments. For us this is very broad. This means work that might involve a physical reality (eg. a performance or installation that happens in physical space) but also use of a technology (this could be virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, a telephone, a computer or many other things) as an integral part of the work.
